Following Jesus is messy. We’ll mess it up. We’ll fall down. We’ll break stuff. We’ll pretend everything is ok when it really isn’t. We will get confused. It’s ok. Actually it’s more than ok. Jesus is bigger than our mess. He is so big that he could stand in our mess with us. He is a God who invites the reckless, the adventurous, the rebellious, and the fearless to practice his kingdom. He is the God of our messy spirituality.
